Are you estranged from any siblings?

Not me, thankfully, but my best friend and his sister aren't talking. They haven't talked since August. I've always been close with both of them, but I always saw his sister through him, and now I haven't heard from her in a while either.

I've never been close to either of my siblings, although it's not for lack of trying. I try to reach out but they aren't receptive. We're not estranged either. We just tolerate each other.

Haven't talked to one in over a decade, I don't think there is any ill-will between us, just no need to talk and they got into a mega fight with parents and I'm close to parents.

Assuming there was no extreme provocation (that a reasonable person who is not one of the two involved would judge as justification), such estrangements are a terrible waste of time. Before they die, they will regret it.

Sometimes (often even), family can be toxic ... and occasionally a complete divorce is necessary - but for the most part such dust-ups are over trivial things but both are too proud and too selfish to meet in the middle.
