how many people regret having kids?

how many people regret having kids? Im glad i dont hear that often that someone regrets having kids but I wonder how many people regret it,since there is such a negative reputation about it I dont know how many people realize they dont want kids or never wanted them. there is just too much pressure to have kids even if you do not want to have any. I hope with time there will be no pressure to have them. my mom said she wanted kids until she had me then she realized she does not want children. she got told it will all be different when you have a child you will want it. like thats always the case. luckily she does try to be a good parent sometimes.

I'm the opposite of your mother. I never wanted children and thought I couldn't get pregnant. Then I had my daughter and fell in love. I'm a single parent now. It hasn't been easy at all but I will never ever say I regret having her. There's so much you're never told about parenting so much of it is on the job training. Don't have children if you don't want to.

I don't know. I'm sure there are a lot but I can't really wrap my head around it. It seems unnatural to think that after you've already had them in your life and loved them that you can wish they weren't around. Even having kids young and being miserable the entire time they were expected... it just changed once they were born and their personalities emerged and it's everything i care about i feel knots in my stomach just thinking about them not being here.

@LAlexV thats good, that is a sign of a good parent. I wish everyone thought this way. I would only have a kid if i could genuinly say i want kids. I dont think my mom cares about parenting that much, she just thinks i will give this kid food and a home that would be enough at least I have that, I am glad.

@Girlyfriendcollecting being a parent is not for everyone. and it's no more noble to decide to have kids than it is to decide not to. it's not like the planet is underpopulated. everyone just needs to be true to themselves. I'm sorry you have had that experience though, that is not fair.

At times, though I love my child very much and would do almost anything for him, I do recognize that if I didn't have him I would be in a better place now.
