Is this mean?

Is it mean to make a teenager take the city bus to school after they didnt want to get up in the morning for school because they said they were too tired from playing a basketball game the night before and had a headache? The teen does this every couple of weeks with a different reason. The real reason is usually because she was up late on her phone. The city bus stop is right at the end of our road. It takes it 15 minutes to get to the school. I have another younger child that is homeschooled and has meeetings and lessons with teachers at certain times.

@Dionysus i do need validation! This is a steparent stepchild relationship. Even if its something I'd make my own child do if its your stepchild its seen as being cruel and unfair. Other people join the supposed victim in telling you how mean it is. Makes a person question their sanity.

I think that's great. It was a practical lesson on taking responsibility and dealing with consequences of your actions.

Way better than spankings and scoldings.
