Do I have the right to hate my mother?

I hope you can find your way out--both physically moving out and emotionally moving on. Surprising how often people say this exact same thing on stories here about their narcissistic mothers...

It is, of course, your right to feel however you want. Ultimately, though, you have to do what will help you in the long run and maintaining hate over a long time usually isn't healthy. For now, though, I think you do need to get out. I did and it took me a long time before the anger went away. I hope it's quicker for you.

I do wish you luck, and you certainly have the right to hate her, but I wouldn't - that just expends energy on her & she doesn't deserve even that.

You have the right to feel any emotions you find yourself experiencing.

You do not have to feel love for your mother. You can even hate your mother.

The key is to not let that hate control you.

Once you get out it will be easier to heal.
