How and/or where did your parents meet?

My dad's friend invited him to go watch his sister's softball game. My mother was also playing and he fell in love with her when she made a homerun. "She ran like a gazelle," he'd say, smiling at the fifty year old memory.

They met while serving in the armed forces.

*I just realized how old this post is. Pardon the interruption.

Mom was engaged to a very handsome man and the women loved him very much
he cheated, she moved on
my dad and my mom became penpals
and the rest I don't really know..
My dad travelled to her country and told her to pack her bags and say farewell to her parents
and took her home with him
and I always felt they didn't belong together

My father was working in my grandfather's bank in Co Cork Ireland. My mother was nursing in London she used to come home for the holidays.
Back then managers of the bank had a house over the bank.
So they met then while my father was working there.

My dad saw my mother's photo back in the days, he instantly knew she's the one. Then through an acquaintance of both who set them up to formally meet.

They met while fishing. They knew of eachother beforehand. This was just the moment when they could have a chat with eachother
