Who is to blame and how do we stop it?

I can't speak for other countries but as far as America is concerned. We live in a culture of entitled people. So many people are looking for a handout or someone to just hand them opportunity without working for it. The older generation blames the younger generation the younger generation blames the older. How are we going to get back too hard work and giving opportunities to people who deserve it. Based off Merit and not based off political correctness.

student loans must be repaid within 5 years of leaving college, no assets over $15000 if you have an unpaid student loan,

Well, I don't think you can blame the kids. They were born to people who evidently wanted a friend, not a child. And the schools, not allowing competition because god forbid someone would have to lose. Giving them gold stars for showing up. Poor kids, they don't know how to deal with reality once they're kicked out of the nest. And they're certainly not prepared educationally either.

I think it's up to new parents teaching young kids from an early age that you don't always get what you want.

Hard times produce hard men. Soft time produce soft men. And we have had it soft for too long of a time .

Stop making hand outs so easy. Make loans harder to get.
Main point is to have plenty of jobs available. Cease immigration. Jobs for locals first.
This will mean that there will be too many people living on the street because they do not want to work but what else can one do?
More Jobs, Less immigration

@Gusman I definitely agree on the handout. If I have to take a drug test for my job and you should have to take a drug test for welfare. Welfare should only be a short-term solution for Able Body people. You have two years to find a job or your benefits will cease or cut down

@Cassandra1 As long as there are enough jobs for locals. Immigration takes Jobs away from locals. Businesses must employ locals first and foremost. Mandatory Job placement for the long term unemployed. Meaning they must take any job offered, commensurate with their skill set or they lose their welfare.

I’ll be honest the problem with this country is not the poeple so much but the government, it’s to worried about ( foreign affairs) helping other countries than their own people , yes I agree the USA does have a serious problem but it’s not the people asking for handouts , unfortunately some poeple need handouts to help them out financially when they fall on hard times but the government is limited on how much they can help because most of our money goes to foreign affairs so we must depend largely on other nongovernmental organizations for help . And whole so many poeple depend on these resources it does put a strain on the nation as a whole now I agree that there are those that try to take advantage of government aid that do not truely need it but there are those that do need it and so it makes it harder to get it , there are loopholes in these processes that people take advantage of.
