Who doesn't want to have kids?

If so why not.and how old are you?
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
I'm 36 and just never wanted to. I don't think I'd do a good job anyway, so I'm glad it's not something I wanted.

@dumpstermeow My wife and I don't regret our decision either, we're glad we didn't.

My wife and I didn't want to have kids...mostly for personal reasons I'd rather not get into here and now. We've been married for going on 15 years. I was still in my mid to late 30's and she in her late 20's, but we discussed it and decided it would be best not to have any. I'm 51 and she's 44 now, so age plays even more of a role now even if we changed our minds (which we haven't and won't).

I don't want to have kids. I'm 27. I want to share my life with someone and forge a path with them.

Kids just complicate things.

I certainly don't I'm 34 now and never wanted the responsibility of having to take care of a life other than my own

Im only 52 .. give me some time to think about it !!
I dont want to because i dont think im emotionally stable enough. I dont want my kids to jave any of my personality. I dont want them to have depression. Or i guess im just afraid that if i had kids they might turnbout like me and experience the mental turmoil that i have.

Also i want to be able to travel one day and i dont want to be tied down.

I’m done with that. Mine is 18.
I am 53 and have no children. I had never had a loving girlfriend let alone a single woman who would be a fit mother.
I would never wish on a child what was thrust upon me.
@Anonymartyr I still need to meet an unmarried woman capable of loving anything but materialism.

Me. I'm 22 and kids are too much of a nightmare. I want to spend my entire life travelling and doing things I enjoy...Not sitting at home for 18 years of my own life raising kids.

🙋 25, I haven't felt any desire yet, never had a serious relationship to even consider having kids, my body has never been healthy enough to make me believe it could turn out well, two years ago I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease that just confirmed for me that I shouldn't have kids

Even if my body was alright I wouldn't trust my mind when it comes to such dramatic hormonal change like pregnancy - there's a chance I would go completely nuts

@CrazyMusicLover I'm 23..and my mom is always asking if I want to have kids.but I really don't think I would be a good mother, my mother herself has issues and she hasn't been the best mother I don't want to transform that to a innocent baby. And plus I had a horrible childhood which pretty much fucked me up.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Angeliclove I understand. I am not asked by anyone but maybe that time will come when I'll be in my 30s. Depression is running in our family and I wouldn't like to pass it further either. But yes, childhood things can influence it even more and even though I can't say I had bad childhood there was one experience that f***d me up as fell on many levels.
Which is another reason but I won't elaborate.
So I can totally understand why people decide to have no children.
