I can think of more pros than cons TBH
Parents will be less likely to be going through a mid-life crisis whilst their children are in their teens.
They will be settled in their careers and relationships.
They will be financially secure
... of course this depends on the parents.

@woolenmittens No mid-life crisis but you know how old people are..with their old ideas that they don't want to change and like to play the victim cause they're old and fragile

@celine211 My parents were young, when they had my older brother. Grandparents by 42. They had no savings, no maturity and my mother always wanted to be friends with my friends (boyfriends). I had to figure a lot out on my own. I envied my best friend who had older parents. They had vacations and a college fund saved.
I think playing the victim is a parent thing. LOL My mother would always blame the fact that she got pregnant (when she was a teenager) on the reason why she liked to party. DO you know how embarrassing it is to have your mother steal your clothes and go out clubbing? FML

@woolenmittens Mhm i'm sure that sucked in its own way ..the middle balance is always the best. But yeah my parents aren't much of help either they think that as long as they are of financial then i have everything..mind you they ain't rich or anything like i already said i'm 18 and the only one that works in ma family.
Grandparent generation would make that person around 40-50 yrs. old. At age 40 the only con would be “is my baby going to have a genetic disorder?”
At 50, the pros are nearly nonexistent.

@CereBellum why wouldn't adoption at that age happen?
@celine211 Usually, 40 is the cutoff age, but it is subjective.

@CereBellum I have a friend who's Mom was 52 when he was born. Naturally, too, there was no IVF in 1951...
Oh, this guy is totally normal, BTW, except his IQ was about 150...

They will die sooner and you get their shit.
More likely that the child is disabled and gets money from the government.
They cover all furniture in plastic so spills are easy to clean.

My parents were aged 38 and 39 when I was born. I'm not sure how that affected me, really.
