Telling your kid he gonna die is a horrible idea even if your weren't serious...

I was 5-6 years old I was watching TV with my little bro , he was holding a water pistol I told him to shoot the guy on the TV and he did.
The TV screen went black my mom asked what happened my little bro told her what I told him to do, my older brothers tried to fix the TV bit the they couldn't.
Mom said wait till your dad comes back he will kill you like those cows you saw on TV " we were watching a documentary earlier it was about a farm or something there were some cows being slaughtered " and I believed her words I truly thought dad is going to going to cut my throat and kill me, I wanted to run away but there dogs outside so I stayed home waiting for my own death.
A 6 years old kid waiting to be slaughtered like an animal that's more than enough to traumatize a grown man.

[c=#7700B2]I don't know, I look at death differently I guess. I think if you hide that part of life from kids over a certain age, that they will just end up fearing it more. Its something everyone has to face in the end and I don't know. I guess that is why heaven and a afterlife and so on was all made, to lighten the blow of death to anyone... but I'm not a parent and well probably shouldn't share my thoughts with kids, so pay no attention to me[/c]

Parenting is not an easy job. Many just suck at it. My own parents did.

@SW-User yeah no one is perfect everyone makes mistakes but no one scare a kid to death like that

I think the notion of death should be taught to children but not in this way of course
