My autistic

Son was attacked last night by a stranger on the bus when he was coming home from school. It's not the first time it's happened. I am seriously thinking about leaving and taking the kids to live in Cornwall. I've been thinking about it for a long time. In the line of work I do I can find work, and I can change the kids schools etc. I'm scared for my son and for his future in a city where it seems everyone is mad. If you could would you make the move?

That is so horrible. What kind of world do we live in where people with difficulties and disabilities become 'easy targets' for bullies. If you believe moving will give your son a better life free from abuse and persecution I say go for it. I wish you well.

Those bullies should be stabbed in their knee caps or have their knee caps get hammered hard.

I'm so sorry... Yes go if/when you can. You can't do anything about those ignorant people. If anyone hurt my son, I'd kill them. Be strong.

For my kids I moved to a state the only people who knew me were my ex wifes family and they hated me ,they actually helped her keep my kids from me for 12 years .
as not to disrupt their lives ,I quit my job ,left my friends and Church and moved to where they were living .
Now 22 years later all is well with the ex and her family
Today my ex mother in law and I will sing together .
Now all my girls are grown ,kids of their own almost grown ,
but I have a 10 yr old son I share with anther ex I met here
So we share him .
She keeps him during the week and I have him every weekend .
My hometown is only 3 1/2 hours away ,but I came back here from North Carolina ,9 hours away ,that is the place I now feel is home .
During the week I spend a lot of time alone (my kids come to see me but they have lives and kids too )
I could get another place in my hometown and drive back and two (I raised my kids in this home so I don't want to let it go either )
So for my son mostly ,I stay put and live for the weekends
There is nothing I would not do for my kids except enable them
I taught them to be self reliant ,I want them to remain that way
I get the Autistic sons safety too ,I have 2 grandsons that are autistic ,but my oldest grandson and my granddaughters would kill anyone who harmed them LOL
But if you can move and its a place you enjoy and safer for your son ,
why aren't you packing ? lol
This city was so nice when I moved here ,and for a city thats pretty large it was very low in crime ,but times are changing dear .
I don't think anywhere will be ideal much longer
even the little town I am from with only 1500 people
Drugs have taken over ,and when you have so many kids addicted to drugs ,the crime rate goes up too ,but in a small town sadly its mostly family stealing from family .
I hope you find the place you want to move to as peaceful as you hope ,but sadly now this town's crime is on the rise as well as my little hometown
Signs of the times ,Hearts are colder and colder everywhere
God luck and God be with you

This makes me soo mad. Why do people do this? I would beat them senseless. But yeah, I would move to protect my child (I am pregnant). But then I would worry if someone else might be so mean. I would towse their arse to protect my little one.
All the best to you and your son. I hope everything works out xx

you have to do what is best for your children. The acid attacks now so frequent in London are horrific. Cornwall whilst quiet is beautiful so if you can..go for it.
Honeylove · 46-50, F
I think that is terrible. You should move if you can. You should take it up with the police too.
yugimotodm · 26-30, M
I would move. I'm sorry that your son has to go through that kind of aggressive bullying
SW-User
Yes, if I felt my son would be safer..absolutely.
