It is hard work.
You rely on routines to get you where you need to be for everybody else's convenience. At least, that's how it feels !

But time spent together, even doing the daftest things, is time well spent !
when my three were small we'd go into the garden and just dig around in the dirt for a while. They loved it !
A short walk in the woods nearby and we'd be looking for tracks and trails for any animal that had been there.
At home we'd play Twister or snakes and ladders or even Snap !

Then they started getting into videogames and their own thing.
But we still used to read stories or draw. And now IS the season for Glitter !
You know. Those tubes filled with that horrible yet attractive stuff they can cover home made Christmas cards in !!

Vacation during the weekends :) as a family, we go out of town and spend time at the beach

Play board games or cards together

Go out on weekends
