Why are people so damn stupid?

There are people whining online about how the words "mother" and "breastfeeding" are sexist toward men and the trans community, and that we should use "birthing people" and "chest feeding" instead. Their poor grasp of the most basic logic and common sense is utterly astonishing. I seriously wonder how they figured out how to breathe when they were born...

please don't get me started on this topic.
this stuff drives me up the wall with how silly it is.

I’ve got to the point that I just sit back and let people live in their own realities until the day my life is affected by stupidity I don’t want it ruining my mindset. I use to for inspiration that one day I might be able to make a cartoon making fun of the far left since no one else really does it. The right wing jokes are best to death so I think it would be fresh to flip @MyaJhonston

@SW-User I normally don't care what other people think or how they choose to live.
but when they demand i reshape my life just to appease people i've never met nor will meet, i get pissed off.
SW-User
Yeah what I find funny is the same people will bash Christians for doing the same thing completely oblivious they are more guilty of the behavior @MyaJhonston
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User hypocrisy is everywhere.
in that sense, we are all somewhat guilty.
SW-User
Yeah I’ve caught myself and over the last few years tried to do better and unpoliticize from college lol slowly but surely @MyaJhonston
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
@MyaJhonston Imagine the strides society would make if all these dumbasses put their energy into something important. But that would take too much work and they wouldn't be able to feed their victim complex.
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User can relate with college.
almost done with it myself and walking a social mine field long enough makes it easy to get caught up in it.
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@ScrewThisImDone it's a generation of complaints with no action from any side.
SW-User
Yeah it’s easy to get caught up in it. I remember having one class with a far right teacher and the very next class after was very liberal I was always leaned to the right but don’t keep up with politics or social media anymore and suddenly the world didn’t feel like it was coming to an end lol @MyaJhonston
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
@MyaJhonston I actually played mute back in college because I was so afraid of someone going off on me because I yawned in the wrong direction or something.
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User had an instructor who was almost fired because they were running out of time and speaking so fast they flubbed a word. the result was a phrase that was wrong but honestly hilarious, and he caught it immediately and apologized, correcting himself before continuing.
still someone reported it and he almost lost his job.
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@ScrewThisImDone I just avoided people in mine.
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
@MyaJhonston My sister's in college now and somehow the only sociology teacher is a man who rigs the class and only asks loaded questions, so half his students are forced to constantly feel like they did something wrong just by answering. There's been several complaints about him and somehow he hasn't been fired yet.
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@ScrewThisImDone Yea that's messed up.
i understand loaded questions as part of a critical discussion (which should be practiced in colleges). but doing it just to make people look bad is fucked up.
SW-User
That’s crazy one of the best professors I had in college quit because he said something in an article that the school said he should apologize for so he just left the job. He never discussed politics and was just a free spirit. @MyaJhonston
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User college culture these days requires everyone be rabidly political.
To be non political is to be the enemy. if only these people could see how they look in comparison with certain past political groups that will go unnamed.
SW-User
@ScrewThisImDone yeah I agree especially the western world we have the resources to help out the third world. If BLM was active in the issues in Africa, and put an effort into trying to limit to exploitation of African researchers. Or was activists for having those companies that makes millions or sometimes billions of dollars on African resources to give back to those communities I would take them more serious. But I would love to see people come together for a greater good to improve humanity
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User BLM is it's own ball of wax, trying to fight a stereotype while inadvertently proving it right. they are unaware of their outward image.
SW-User
Yeah I’m just glad I no longer play a part in it and if this administration comes and goes and the country hasn’t drastically changed than it never will. The last administration was as far right and a danger in the eyes of the left and vice versa with this one. If the country can survive I don’t see it ever collapsing. I think what would do the most good for the world is if we collectively stopped using social media that seems to drive the insane social politics @MyaJhonston
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User yea social media is a factor though not the root cause.
with the internet the reasonable people can reach more people, but so can the deluded and insane.
and sadly people are more impressionable than i like to believe.
SW-User
Yeah it seems people like BLM try to push victimhood on people and give them excuses for why there are in their point in life trying to justify it discouraging people to turn their lives around for the better I did a lot of stupid shit and messed my life up for a free years but I took self accountability changed my actions and coming up in life in a few years I could be where I’ve wanted to be while my “friends” from that time never saw fault and doing the same dumb shit now they were doing 5 years ago @MyaJhonston
SW-User
@MyaJhonston the internet if used right is the ultimate tool for self education a better more modern library of Alexander but so many people regardless of political sides get caught up in propaganda
MyaJhonston · 22-25, F
@SW-User with great power comes great responsibility, and the internet gives us far more power than most realize.
if there is anything that the last generation failed to do it was raise this one to be responsible.
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
@MyaJhonston Yeah, and then the insane people keep censoring the rational people, which just makes the problem worse.
