I Need to Vent

No matter how much I improve, I won't improve fast enough. I'm not learning how to be pretty fast enough, and my age will catch up eventually.

I'll die lonely and unloved, trust issues barely even chipped away, and people will lie at my funeral.

I hope you realize that it is not disrespect or a failure of empathy on my part that makes me smile as I read this. I am 73 years old. You do not need to be in a hurry about anything.

And just wait a few years to find out what is happening with those you now believe are winning some sort of relationship race! The contemplation of their first divorces will give you something interesting to think about.

You are pretty, intelligent and obviously not full of yourself or arrogant. I hope you start feeling better very soon. You need to accept yourself as OK and ease up on comparing yourself to others, especially what you imagine about them. They're probably home right now fretting about a pimple they just got on their face, and at least one of two of them are concerned that they don't look as good as you do.
