I Am Canadian
Living in Canada means you have four distinct seasons. At least, where I live.
I hear many dread the fall season because it means winter is just around the corner.
We just had our first snow. A call out to ensure everything is neatly for the next six months of a white outside floor. Time to put away the canoe and kayak and wax the skis and oil the snowshoes.
I enjoy every season equally. In fact, I look forward to the change most of the time. For me, it means I get to get on with a new activity and see some nature with a different take.
I’ll replace my bug spray with a fur hat and my paddles with ski poles. The muskeg that was difficult to traverse will be a breeze atop my snowshoes. The fire bans will all be lifted and I’ll enjoy a campfire alongside a rocky crag someplace.
Make the most of every season where you are.
