I Use Music As Therapy For the Soul

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSDqm66sQp0]

The lyrics deeply resonate with me. I still have a long way to go. I'm never going to be who I was before. There is a huge hole that won't be filled by anything except having my son back and I can't have him back. The only thing I can do is plug the hole with the me that has to go forward. It's a strange place to be the same and yet not the same at all... and figuring how to make the one who lived a few months ago match up to the one who is living now. I hope to figure it out.

Kind of reminds me of how Frodo felt at the end of the final Lord of the rings film. He had taken the sword to his shoulder from the Nazgul and although he was part of the team that defeated the dark lord he knew he could never go home again, it just was no longer his place, and nothing could change that. That wound would never heal....

I feel for you because this is likely where you stand, but the beautiful thing is this marks your journey in a more stark way. Your love as a mom and your sacrifice, all the laughter and now all the pain are all wrapped up in one and they are you, and they are beautiful.

You will figure this out...that I have no doubt

Hoping you feel a little better soon, so sorry for your loss, nobody can ever imagine your pain and loss, the loss of one's child forever impacts your every day forward. Just hoping you realize your son only left you in body, his spirit remains. You will feel him forever and will one day see him again. God bless you and keep chugging through, it will get better in time.

@therighttothink50 I am adjusting to the loss..whatever that means. The sad fact is that things continue to go on and I have to continue living those parts of life regardless of how I feel. It's a welcome distraction at the same time. Thanks my friend:)

No one will ever take his place, 😔 I'm so sorry!💔🥀

@ravenwind43 I haven't seen you in such a long time!👀 Yes, I'm well and have been busy with company out of state. My friend is in a memory care facility and will never be able to go back home. Her daughter came from San Diego and stayed with me a while. It was such a bittersweet reunion for everyone. We realize our own mortality when these kinds of things happen.😔

It has been awhile. I don't seem to be here regularly anymore. I am sorry about your friend but glad you have been able to be with her daughter. That is special. ((hug))

@ravenwind43 Yeah, it's good to take breaks from social media websites to keep your sanity!😉 Thank you about my friend, it's been busy and exhausting for her to see her mother this way. 😞 I'm just glad I'm close enough to visit.
