What is your favorite song? And why?

Music often makes you mind-traveling and brings back suppressed feelings within. Music is a big part of my culture (I'm Brazilian-American). When feeling a little down, I usually choose an upbeat song to dance to. Sometimes just listening to Beethoven 3rd makes me go back to work.

I enjoy all kinds of music. I believe that part of who we are is connected to the type of music we prefer. In my case, I like love songs and orchestral music the most. What about you? What is your favorite type of music, and which song brings you to the right mood?

Sending you all hugs from Brazil...

There's no way I can pick one favorite song...music is simply too vast, and I am constantly finding treasures along my journey.Certain artists move me in different ways, and I'll give anything a chance.I have hungry ears.
Lots of my top favorites come from the UK dub and steppas scene, which in itself is based on Jamaican roots, which has certainly provided our world with a vast richness of music.

I can’t answer. My answer changes daily it seems.
This song has been my favorite since it first came out. My parents were originally from New Orleans, LA (relocated to California before I was born), but the song reminds me of times I’ve visited family and spent evenings walking through Vieux Carre, my mother’s old neighborhood. I love jazz, and the soprano sax intro by Branford Marsalis (also from NOLA) takes me back.

@bijouxbroussard The musical and cultural riches which emerged from the crescent city are immesurable. So many of my favorite songs have bubbled out of that unique melting pot that it's tough to keep track of 'em all.
