Ashford & Simpson were a husband and wife singing team with a hit single in the 1980's. The husband sadly died ten years ago.

They wrote several songs together for both themselves and for other artists from 1964 until Nick passed away in 2011.
One of the early songs they wrote, performed by several duos was:

I was so sad when he passed away. Theirs was such a wonderful love story, too. 😞
