I Work to Live Not Live to Work

It's performance evaluation day. I hate performance evaluations. I hate this year's especially because I have a new boss and I'm not entirely certain about her yet.

Ah, well. So it goes.

I used to have that issue every year, too. My current boss, however, is so hands off that he gets his reports to each fill out their own evaluation of themselves, and just signs off on that. Kinda frustrating not getting ANY feedback on what you've been doing, but it takes all the worry out of the process.

@firefall Here, we have to do a self evaluation in addition to the regular evaluation. Sucks.

So, the evaluation when swell. The new boss listed me as "exceeds expectations" in pretty much everything, so that's good to hear.

@DunningKruger I agree. I greatly dislike it! Our Governor completely eliminated our performance system. It's good and bad.

I hate those things, too. My company is making us do self-evaluations. So, I’m going to give myself a stellar rating.
