I Go Barefoot In Public

I wish it were more accepted to go to public places barefoot. I mean, kids are allowed to walk around stores and in restaurants and at the mall barefoot but when I do it I get dirty looks.

I understand how you feel and what you're going through. I go barefoot just about everywhere. Sadly I don't see many people barefoot at all, not even kids. Usually it kind of freaks kids out when they see me barefoot because they just don't do it. When I was growing up, as soon as the weather got the least bit warm, everybody went barefoot just about everywhere. I even remember my Dad telling me that as soon as school got out, the shoes went in the back of the closet, and they stayed barefoot until they had to go back to school.

Just get out there and do it. Act like you own the place when you walk in. Don't FOCUS on how people are looking at you. Just go on about your business. Lately I've even had a few people stop and strike up a friendly conversation about going barefoot. A guy earlier this week told me that his brother goes barefoot everywhere. I told him it was the healthiest way to be. There are NO LAWS or regulations (from a government standpoint) about prohibiting going barefoot. Business are certainly able to come up with their own rules, but they cannot be discriminatory, but you also do not have to go to these places and spend your money.

Keep 'em BARE!

You can, but it's disgusting. Parents are told as well.

@Flenflyys: It's not disgusting. It's better than wearing socks and shoes and having all that heat trapped inside, which is how fungus is formed.
