I Am Not Politically Correct

According to Max Blumenthal – on the Jimmy Dore show – Soleimani worked with the U.S. fighting ISIS. Now, the U.S. has turned him into a terrorist to suit their own purpose. I always thought it was strange that the U.S. designated a sovereign nation’s army a “terrorist group.” Imagine someone doing that with our military.

Anyway, even though I’m a conservative and Blumenthal is on the Left, I find his claims interesting.

I think its hilarious that the left is now defending the world's state sponsor of terrorism and its chief henchman that masterminded the embassy attack in Iraq. His being out of his country violated our sanctions , his planning the embassy attack and many others was an act of war, so Trump fought back. problem solved.

You do know the attack on the embassy was a response to us killing 25 of their own. Media are omitting this fact. The thing is we shouldn’t be there, period. @TexChik
TexChik · F
@Carissimi They were targeted and killed in Syria ... again violating sanctions
Carissimi · 70-79, F
We should not be in Syria. These countries are sovereign nations. Can you imagine a country having troops and drones here in the U.S.? We wouldn’t stand for it, yet we go across the world with our drones and bombs, and just start taking Presidents, and generals out, not to mention all the civilians we’ve killed. Trump ran on getting out of the Middle East, and yet now we have escalated the situation, and sent a further 3000 troops over there.
I’m waiting to see how Iraq votes on telling the U.S. to leave. We should. @TexChik

It's more interesting that they don't do the same about Saudi's...
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I didn’t read anything about bombing in what you wrote. Did I miss something. I think we’ve done enough damage as it is, and need to get out of there. That’s what Trump ran on. @Murmurs

@Carissimi Saudi a candidate for being turned into a sea of glass. But as I said I wasn't serious about that part...
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I’ve never heard that term. @Murmurs
Platinum · M
That was a long time ago, since them he has been responsible for a lot of Americans and British dying...
Platinum · M
So much more recent than the Iraqi war , check your facts....@Carissimi
Carissimi · 70-79, F
What are your facts? Do you have events and places, and casualties? Or are you parroting the MSM generalizations and accusations with no details of anything. @Platinum
Platinum · M
@Carissimi just look it up, I did...it's quite simple, you google his name and like magic it tells you all about him....so you think he is not responsible for any deaths of our soldiers in the last ten years...could you be wrong....
Platinum · M
Did you know that Iran kill 1000s of their own people just because they are protesters....you think us coming out of Iran would leave a peacful regime and no one else would be killed there...
Murmurs · F
@Platinum if the US goes "into" Iran it can win a conventional war in a few weeks, at worst, months.

But it then has to have a long term military and economic committment on a scale like nothing since the Marshall Plan and have the support of allies. Otherwise it will be even more expensive and lead to even more deaths. A country can be defeated in months. To win it over takes years.

The US has not won a shooting war since 1945, because no one since Eisenhower has learned the lessons of it, nor needed his own parting advice as president. (The current Iranian situation is partly Ike's fault of course but that's beside the point here).

His sometime successor has undoubtedly some virtues (it takes a business genius to get a casino bankrupt after all) but learning from history and taking advise are not among them.
Platinum · M
@Murmurs and if you moved out and left them in any type of peace, they would be killing 1000s of of their own people, maybe millions...Iraq killed millions of its own people and the UN do nothing...
