I Love Falling Asleep To The Sound Of Rain
I had given up on finding much sleep tonight, then it started. The gentle, pitter-patter lullaby of an early winter rain. I just might find rest after all. 🙂

@JoyfulSilence Unless is rains non-stop for weeks at a time. Then, you have street flooding, river flooding, and landslides. Fun times. I'd rather shovel.

Quiet night, sky alight with stars. Snowflakes drift lazily through the air, come to rest in a crystalline veneer, sparkling like diamonds in a downy layer, upon everything.
Fire crackling upon the hearth, casting off waves of warmth as its black and orange tongues rise and waiver upon the air, throwing shadows of willowy light.
Sleepers rhythmic breaths rise and fall in time with their silhouettes.
