Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies...

YouTube and DailyMotion have blocked any and all Beatles music, meaning the only way to get their songs are to buy it on iTunes or get it with stupid shit like Spotify or Pandora, but I refuse to ever pay for music. It took me a half hour of searching but I found a good MP3 direct download site. My former site was mp3skull but as of October of last year, they finally got taken offline. Musicpleer works flawlessly on my phone but for some reason won't work on my laptop.

It's all about rights and advertising !!

There was a time when you could upload anything to youtube.
Consequently you could find pretty much anything !
Remember the big hoo-ha when Michael Jackson bought the rights to The Beatles stuff back in the 90's ??
ALL the music was subsequently withdrawn from public playlist areas !

Rights tend to last for a short period of time before they're sold on to another for another limited period of time.
The interesting thing about youtube is that you can download that stuff into your own personal use file. And the next time you go to your file you find it's all gone because youtube SAYS it no longer owns the rights to it !!
Truly annoying if compiling a tv series or a mix album of an artist you like !
Although, i notice you CAN still find it on youtube.....provided you're willing to pay a fee !!!!!

Youtube users and channel hosts are taking a lot of heat from Google the owning company, about including images or music clips in their videos without having sought permission to do so first.
Fair enough. That's a copyrights issue.
But having happily allowed folk to put anothers work up there for all the world to see, WITHOUT complaint from the production company who actually made it, to then withdraw it saying it's because the poster didn't own the copyright.........That's just wrong !!!

Sir Pawl wants his dough, even if you've bought all the Baatles stuff in multiple formats.....Sir Pawl can get stuffed!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@bookerdana: Well he's not the one who started it. You can thank Steve Jobs for that.

Sure but heres this sixties icon of freedom and love scrounging for pennies. McCartney made the choice to pull all that stuff. There is a case to be made that uploading a four minute song isn't an infringement but Google's Youtube doesn't have any cajones

@bookerdana: I resent the fact that Google and YouTube have glommed together. I still love YouTube but the quality of the site has gone down since Google bought it out.

If you don't mind paying a little this is a pretty good site.

@Halcyon: Thanks, but if I was willing to pay money I could just the song on iTunes. I usually just file convert everything from YouTube because most of the music I want is available there but sometimes I have to resort to MP3 sites. Beatles songs are particularly tricky because of how much effort Apple has gone through to make sure you can't get it for free. But thanks to zippyaudio3 I've managed to best Apple's attempts.

Okay, good effort. ;)
Picture yourself in a boat on a river, the boat capsizing and you drowning to a chilly death.

@mamawhatswrongwithme: I hope not.

It is free on Spotify though, I know you hate them but still
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand: Spotify is for cocksuckers. I'm not paying for a Spotify subscription to get a song and not be able to save it when instead I could download the song for free and keep it.

Then I suck a lot of cock. There is always the pirate bay.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand: True. They ain't going anywhere soon. I used to use mp3skull for everything I needed but they finally got shut down after moving domains like eight times. And musicpleer is still up and running but for some reason seems to only work on my phone.

The Beatles don't need your money, but lots of other artists do. Just sayin.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@uncalled4: I say this as a professional musician myself.
