@Fairydust I like a lot of the stuff they play on Smooth (that's the name of the station I have on). They play various genres but it's always melodic and easy on the ears. Most of it is old.

99% of the time because it’s cool. I for one don’t care much for the lyrics. Most are cheesy anyway

Oh, usually no, some of my most favorite songs have edgy lyrics but it doesn't mean anything to me personally. I focus on music itself mostly.
