@Peapod I just switch the radio on and accept whatever comes on. The station I have on is called Smooth, it plays various genres that are melodic and easy on the ears. It doesn't play unpleasant, noisy stuff like heavy metal or punk, and it doesn't play rap either because most of the lyrics are unbroadcastable. The songs it does play are well-known and popular.

@HairbrushDiva That sounds like my kind of radio station. I really don't care for much of these newer artists. Very few really stand out imho. I too always loved the radio and listen to it in my car. There is something magical about a great song suddenly coming on and being able to turn it up!

@Peapod They do play newer artists, but the majority are oldies. I have it on while I'm working, my customers like to hear songs they know while I cut and style their hair for them.

@Piper It's about 40 years old now, but it's still popular.
