Pure chance. I was younger and a friend had that album on cassette one day. The song had such an odd sound too it, the artist and her melody stuck with me.

@SethGreene531 As far as I know, "Like A Virgin" was the first single from that album and "Material Girl" was the next one. As far as I know they were both chart hits.

@AthrillatheHunt I love Madonna, she's one of my all-time favourite singers. "Material Girl" has been on the radio today. I think I'll listen to the entire album later on tonight.
