Do you like Wham?

I personally don't, but this song has been on the radio today.

I did like George Michael. I think the best song he ever did was this though when they had the tribute concert for Freddie Mercury [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvM2Cmi-YRU]

@Keepitsimple I agree. I don't know why they were hits, but apparently they were.

@Keepitsimple Like him so much more than Adam Lambert....

@HairbrushDiva I enjoyed hearing it; thanks.
Not really, except for Last Christmas, only because it's on in all the stores.
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@SethGreene531 I thought they sang "Oh My Lord" as part of "Mary's Boy Child". That's what I hear every December.

@HairbrushDiva Interesting. I understood them as 2 separate songs on an album, but perhaps there's another version. Though it might be Rivers of Babylon I'm thinking of.
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@SethGreene531 "Rivers Of Babylon" is another separate song. As it happens that one was on the radio the other day.

I am not a huge fan of wham but I sometimes listen to George Michaels solo stuff. he is actually a super talented singer. I don't like "I want your sex" and " wake me up" but I like many other of his stuff.
RubySoo56-60, F
I loved them when i was 18. They were so upbeat in pretty gloomy times!
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@RubySoo What's "tellinbyoj" supposed to be?
RubySoo56-60, F
@HairbrushDiva i spelling error which i have corrected.
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@RubySoo I wouldn't have worked that one out. Lol :)

Wouldn't say "I liked them" as this song is the only one I remember from them. But if it's on the radio I can't help but sing along.
Eddiesolds61-69, M
Yes.i havent listened to them in ages though. Some of the songs can bring a tear on. Maybe that's why. Lol

Not really though I liked George Michael. His death I believe was sketchy. It's tragic
I hate that song!!! 馃槨
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl I can't say I'm very fond of it either.
Eddiesolds61-69, M

This was the jam back in elementary school 馃槀
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@zeeva70 Is it? Sorry, but I don't live wherever it means that.
zeeva70F
@HairbrushDiva it's old school slang. Here's the definition from the Urban Dictionary:
jam
a song that a person is particularly fond of, sometimes to the point of being their personal anthem or theme song. derived from the expression "jamming out".
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@zeeva70 I've heard of "jamming", I think that came from the Bob Marley song so that's old school slang, but I don't hear people saying "jamming out".

His face is why I'm a 1 on the Kinsey Scale!
AzlottoM
I kinda like that tune.

"Careless Whisper" is another good one.
