Does anyone remember the good old days when we listened to music rather than watched music?

I never really watch music. I guess im old fashioned

I thought only people with synesthesia could watch music. 😏

No, really, I think I know what you mean...Sometimes I think that visual part influences my taste in music more than the music itself. I don't mean videos, that era died sometime around 2008 for me when I stopped watching music TV channels. I mean what the creators look like and how they present themselves.

i get where you're coming from … sometime noticing it from that perspective. however … plenty of times i am at my work-place … don a pair of headphones … and choose rachmaninoff or debussy … to lessen my stress 'n irritability.

It depends on the video. Yeah some are very nice. Sometimes I do not like the music video, sometimes I might like it but want to concentrate on the music more.

and played pool and had a beer too, ohhh and no sound from the TV but a hockey or baseball was as well.

i much prefer my ear buds on a walk always seems more intimate,but im not opposed to watching a good concert .🙃

I listen to songs less nowadays. But I yeah in old days we used to watch them on tv. 😂

I still do listen rather than watch videos, for the most part, because a lot of the music I love predates video.

But one crazy thing about youtube algorithms, is that videos get more hits - that is, a moving picture will always get higher priority in the search algorithm. So it prioritizes music videos and so you'll get more hits that way.
