Do you wear headphones/ear buds when you're alone?

I live in an apartment building, with lots of sound carrying features. People can stand outside your door in the hallway and easily hear every word you are saying. Because I am on a courtyard, sound carries into the courtyard. If a person stands near their sliding door, speaking on the telephone, every one of the 18 apartments that faces the courtyard can hear your conversation just as though you were in the same room with them.

I stay up late, sometimes until 3 a.m., and if I want to watch television I must wear a headset. I also try to be considerate and wear the headphones right until noon in case someone is trying to sleep late.

Yes because I always worry that if I blast my music, it will annoy my pets.
