David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKVhodA_q-g]
Haunting. I was familiar with the Nirvana version first. But the original...wow. It’s like Bowie’s journey into the afterlife. “We passed upon the stair (to heaven or hell) I laughed and shook his hand (A long lost friend). We spoke of was and when (flashbacks of life) Although I wasn’t there (its a life that’s over) He said I was a friend. Which came as some surprise. I spoke into his eyes (and remembering) I thought you died alone a long long time ago (the realization that he too is now dead)
I’m not talking about Nirvana. I am talking about the Bowie version. I think when I typed “But the original....wow!” might have tipped you off that I was talking about the Bowie version.

OK. So much for sharing something we both seem to like.
