I like the song, have not seen anything "iffy" about it, i remember it mostly from a documentary that came with a sort of magazine publication on 9/11, good song!! :)

The meaning of the song was a lot different back then. These days in an era where sexual abuse and harassment are the closing themes to the decade it’s been misinterpreted. I think we should still play the song. Any sane person can see it does not condone the behaviour or is about it at all.

What I glean from the song is that the couple is already in a romantic relationship and the conversation is a type of foreplay. Nothing wrong with that. He may be trying to pressure her into something physical she's not ready for, but it doesn't really sound that way to me.

People are problematic
