I have to say I love Youtube, and this world in a way
So I saw Rufus Wainright again for my fourth time again last night. It was interesting and intimate. He's been performing in Europe mostly, largely, in support of his more operatic, and classical works.
Guelph is a small venue for him. It's a surprise he'd be here while he's current, and contemporary. It's not a surprise he would do that here as he's Canadian. Yet, anyone should know it's a dry run, where he can have the audience small yet intimate preparing himself to tour in support of work in music he no longer really does. So the cracks in his voice, which were far and few between, aren't to be unexpected and his playful nature made up for it.
