When did 90s rock become classic rock

"When did Motley Crue become classic rock" 1985 was released in 2004. That means in 2023 it could be made to 2004. The song will have come full circle, and personally I want to hear this.

90's Rock is classic to someone your age. 60's and 70's is classic to me.
