Why do you love Nightwish?

My sister got me so hooked on Nightwish, Evanescence, SOAD and some others I can't remember a couple of years ago. Due to my studies, I had to stop listening to such ''loud'' music and I soon stopped listening to most of them

Yeah lol sorry I was in the moment of revisiting the Wacken clip where he yells "OK guys keep your eyes wet, the tax collector is coming" .... :) haha if I ever felt brave enough I went to the heavy metal club when I was studying... awesome times. I listened to Floor 's other band After Forever, HIM especially Join Me, Dark Light, Under the Rose, Vampire Heart... then Amorphis with Tuonela and Blood Moon. A little Sonata Arctica too.

SOAD? Don't know them..

Oh also phantom of the Opera cover was mint. Though I do love Sarah brightman v Antonio banderas for that too... gypsy kings!! And Tim Mcgraw. :)

Go there. I've been to With Full Force, Bang Your Head and even Bizarre and Reggae Summer. But nothing compares to Wacken. Wacken rules.

@Basswizardofmiddleearth Oh man I wanted to go so badly but .. organising 3 trips abroad and an entire family meetup got the better of me (plus work means getting up at 5am next day and I have no leave!). How was the crowd? Looking at a couple of youtube clips they look a little lame but.. obviously you can't tell unless you're there....

The crowd was was singing along with joy! Floor Jansen sounds better live than on CD though, I like Annette Olson from dark passion play and Imaginareum era.@DreamCoCreators

Awesome, great news I want them to look forward to Wembley in December! Floor is definitely a live performer for sure. I wondered if Imaginerium was Anette's era. She had a great voice, and for sure some of those songs were amazing. But IMHO she was meant for a new band and a new feel. Some songs she didn't master so well BUT caveat is I didn't hear many different times she sang them. So not exactly a good place to comment from, but hey we all have what we have right?
