Anyone love ELO Discovery album?

I've just raked it out and put it on. It's got to be loved by some on here.

Cassette tapes i have a lot that i have made over the years. I still have them . i love all the songs too. Elo has been one of my favorite bands. Especially in the 70"s. I lot of people probably don't know what a cassette tape is. But yiu and i are in the same range in age. I guess depending how old you are.

@Rhonda i remember that. We had a 8-track player that had a radio so put the 8-track in and hit record.

@Shawnkautzman1 Cassettes? Just one of the many formats I own. Still have a deck that works.

@uncalled4 me too my boom box dual cassette deck still works after all these years. And sounds good. I took care of it.

I always loved ELO and another group no one ever heard of, the Pasadena Roof Orchestra!

@Blodyn I'm just getting into ELO now. I bought 8 of their albums. TIME is a favorite. Jeff Lynne is an awesome, underrated talent.

@uncalled4 ELO is awesome! But I have strange tastes! ELO, Elton John, Showaddywaddy, Hawkwind, and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra which really did exist even though I am the only one who heard of it! Does anyone even remember playing in it?

oh yeah.....have most of their Albums

Alongside Out of the blue and A new world record, three of the best albums of the 70's that's for sure !
I give them an airing regularly 😎
Shawnkautzman1 · 51-55, M
@Picklebobble2 both those albums are great i have both of those too. Out of the blue and a new world record. I love the song tightrope but all songs are good.

It's ok but I'd put it behind Eldorado, On the Third Day, Out of the Blue, Time, Face the Music, A New World Record. It's probably better than Secret Messages.
Shawnkautzman1 · 51-55, M
@GeniUs i have elderado also.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Great album, great imagery, I always get creative (writing) whenever I hear it.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Also if you like Eldorado you'll probably enjoy On the Third Day which has the same (classic) feel to it.

Yes good album. I bought it when it came out.

That's a blast from the past - somewhere the vinyl got lost out my collection of that one. Think I lent it to a drummer mate years back
Rhonda · F
@SW-User it was my first ever vinyl album given to me second hand by my aunt

@Rhonda my first 45 was haha said the clown. LP was possibly Supertramp Crime of The Century I think
Rhonda · F
@Shawnkautzman1 I borrowed it off a friend and taped it on a cassette. I like every song on it.
Shawnkautzman1 · 51-55, M
@Rhonda i remember when i said record player to my nephew he sai what's that. I put a album on and showed him he was fascinated. .

@Shawnkautzman1 there is a record revival now, people pay big money for vinyl
Shawnkautzman1 · 51-55, M
@Rhonda i kept all my vinyl. It is making a comback here.
Quizzical · 46-50, M

river52 · 70-79, M
I like everything ELO
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
At the time, people called it Disco Very lol. I dig Jeff Lynne, though. Always liked ELO. Bet I am the only one here who thinks ZOOM is a pop masterwork.
