@OkayBye No taste on here

@OkayBye Including the stones in this Q is lunacy :)

Any boyband manufactured in the 90's or 2010.

@JarJarBoom I never heard that
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@JarJarBoom They based a lot of their music on old blues songs, true. But then again, so did the Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Cream, and several other bands.

U2 ...no one comes close.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge I didn't know Oasis was that highly rated. I'll never get over how mediocre and repetitive U2 is (Achtung Baby is pretty good).
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@SW-User Love the joshua tree and live at red rocks,but neither were worth the hype that goes with them.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User Oasis had more time on the charts (over 700 weeks in all) than any other band who started in the 1990s. Since chart statistics surely must reflect sales figures, that just goes to show how overrated they were. I can't see what's even remotely good about them. Liam Gallagher has one of the worst voices I've ever heard.

@SW-User Hell yes! 😉

@Carver Journey had it's own video game. How could you say they're overrated?

@SW-User Lmao! Clever. 😜

Rush
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Salix75 Rush were really good in the 70s and early 80s. Their later albums aren't as good as their earlier ones though.
Salix75 · 46-50, F
@NankerPhelge could never stand them. Hated their sound
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Salix75 I have most of their early albums. After about 1982 they started to slowly go downhill.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Other than the boybands or the producers who just mix other folks work ?
I'd go with Status quo.
Kings of the tree chord pop song........for forty years !

@pedrohedgerow Sad to think isn't it. Somewhere, out there are kids now in their late 20's, who have 'retired from real life' having made more money than you or i will ever know because they somehow managed to convince folk to vote for them on some godawful tv show for 6 weeks in a row once upon a time !!
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 Sickening.Manufactured,manipulated and money making.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 Status Quo are highly entertaining even if their songs are much of a muchness, so it's hard to think of them as overrated.

Kiss
SW-User
@SmartKat Yeah, they really sucked. Made the most out of it, though!
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SmartKat Kiss are good, although in spite of a number of changes in line-up, their sound never changed much.

@NankerPhelge @SmartKat @ThaGeminII @SW-User thank you all for your input. I'll be over here continuing to disagree with all of you, especially because this is all about taste and not facts. :)
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@CheshireCatalyst We can agree to disagree. It’s not like the fate of the world hangs on this.

Heavens...something modern. Never seen so much money thrown at such drivel. I mean, it's always been that way, but never to this extent before.

@Elysian I like Bon Jovi, I saw them live once (in 1993), although some of their later stuff has been a bit mediocre.
