@NankerPhelge I didn't know Oasis was that highly rated. I'll never get over how mediocre and repetitive U2 is (Achtung Baby is pretty good).

@SW-User Love the joshua tree and live at red rocks,but neither were worth the hype that goes with them.

@SW-User Oasis had more time on the charts (over 700 weeks in all) than any other band who started in the 1990s. Since chart statistics surely must reflect sales figures, that just goes to show how overrated they were. I can't see what's even remotely good about them. Liam Gallagher has one of the worst voices I've ever heard.

@Salix75 Rush were really good in the 70s and early 80s. Their later albums aren't as good as their earlier ones though.

@Salix75 I have most of their early albums. After about 1982 they started to slowly go downhill.

Somewhere, out there are kids now in their late 20's, who have 'retired from real life' having made more money than you or i will ever know because they somehow managed to convince folk to vote for them on some godawful tv show for 6 weeks in a row once upon a time !!

@Picklebobble2 Status Quo are highly entertaining even if their songs are much of a muchness, so it's hard to think of them as overrated.

@Elysian I like Bon Jovi, I saw them live once (in 1993), although some of their later stuff has been a bit mediocre.
