"The Singing Ranger" From Canada- signed to RCA in 1948 and released this, in Canada in 1949.. It was huge hit in the US in 1950. (same Year as Nat's "Mona Lisa" ) I was a hig Hank Snow fan for year. Us to listen to his 9;30-10:00 performance on the Grand ole Opry on radio, weekly and Sat.night. Sponsored by Acme boots. (no relation to Looney Toons Acme or the grocery store)
Now here is my question for you.
If he is "But they'll never find me 'cause I'm lost in Miller's Cave."
Then how did he get out to make this recording- if he is lost? And if he is most wanted in the state- and by luck got out- why was he not arrested-? (remember there are swamps and everglades there)

Since I have prime I can listen to 75 % of it. And it is beautiful .But it is also a bit eerie, almost haunting- some may say macabre but I do not agree as that was not the intention. I listened through the first three tracks and shut it down- it is a very personal release. Almost private. Intense.
Read the description of it- it is long. (for CD's)
Presented here is a far different man than the one I saw 36 years ago.
