I Live In a Sexless Marriage

Would someone please give me a virtual hug? I really need one.

It's hard enough not having human touch or affection for years, but dealing with this while I feel ill, for the last week, as I have, then the washing machine won't work, and I just want to cry.

I went to the grocery store, and felt so bad, I couldn't think straight. A nice young man helped me find my items, and I was looking at him thinking...."please give me a hug, and tell me it's going to be okay."

I just wanted comfort and someone to care about me, but it's never there for me...just me...alone...trying to get through in a life of solitude.

If I die, it will be from deprivation of love, care, and touch for decades. It eats you from the inside out, and you feel like you are dying a slow death.

I just deal with it, but when I'm sick, it becomes too much to deal with.

Hugs sweetie. I know what you mean. I think I remember you from the old sexless marriage forums.

When I'm sick, all I want is for a big strong man to hold me and rub my booty and tell me it'll be alright. Sometimes I cry in the bathroom. ughhh. I just have to keep going on.

Thank you all so much. It's just a very hard day. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow, and I've been worried too.

Btw, I am post SM for 1-year, so I am out, but I'm still alone without touch and affection. Getting out is no guarantee that you will find love or touch again. It was lonely married, and it's lonely single. I feel it much worse when I'm ill, and no one to care for me.

*Hugs* Why is your marriage sexless? Is it due to medical complications, or is sex just not happening?
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Yeah you can, you do what I did, I wasn't meeting people so I joined a dating agency. Then I met a lot of people and some didn't like me and I didn't like one or two but I met a lot of good people and you keep meeting them until you find one you really like.
Only problem is...I'm not too sure whether they still work that well or if they are full of married people looking for extras. You just have to be careful.
I totally u sets tabs and hope you feel better - ( hugs)

I'm not the best person to have around when you're sick, I provide food & water and leave you to recover (and that's how I like to be treated when ill too, not inviting 2 of your mates around with their 4 rowdy kids- but I digress).
Once you're better you need to take steps to get somebody back in your life, don't do nothing, be proactive!

A little TLC is what I need when I'm unwell, GeniUs. Actually, I need that when I'm healthy too, but more so when sick.

You really can't just get someone back in your life. It's not like shopping for a pair of shoes that fit you, and you like. I wouldn't even know how, but thanks for the food and water.

If u lived in the United kingdom i would come and hug you with so much love. You deserve better, everything you want is on the otherside of fear, take a leap of faith and have the courage to take control of your life. It is never to late to start over x
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Hi Rose, yes I see you there occasionally.

It's hard when you don't have that affection in your life, and someone who really cares for you. Over time, you just wither from neglect.
antonioio · 70-79, M
You do not do something for someone because you love them,
You do it because they deserve it,
The person, or husband who do not deserve your love get out before it destroys you and move on.

Hugs to you, sweetheart. Thriving on physical contact isn't just for babies and puppies.

I wish that I could give you a real hug and not a virtual hug. Real hugs are more meaningful!

GIANT UNDERSTANDING ((HUGS))!!!

Thank you Carissimi. I am sorry. I know that feeling all too well. The despair that strikes for just the longing to be touched. That deprivation, the slow death as you called it. It seems to strike me most in the quiet moments. Those late hours in the dark when you stare at the ceiling. It is why I overload myself. Better to be exhausted.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
@RexCorvus: I'm sorry. It was a torture for over 25-years. I thought it would kill me at times...the deprivation...maybe it will, but age has done something strange to me, which is probably best left unsaid.

Exhaustion is probably a good strategy to deal with it. I'm exhausted in a different way. Burnt out exhausted, which doesn't have the same effect. Too much deprivation of a basic human need over a prolonged period is very damaging.

I do hope your need for touch is resolved. You are so young. I was 37 when the deprivation started, now I'm over 60. It's been a horrible life experience.

I'm so very sorry. I appreciate you sharing your wisdom. Thank you. ((HUGS))!

I do believe I'd have been dead years ago, if it wasn't for EP, and now SW...meaning you all who have given me virtual hugs, and support and encouragement at my lowest times.

Some of you I know from EP, some I don't, or know now from SW. Some never came over from EP, but whether past and/or present friends (even if we are not friends), you have my gratitude for keeping me going.

My Love to Everyone of you. ❤️
