I love watching mostly documentaries,

particularly about travel,

food and travel,

learning about the cultures of people in other parts of the world.

BUT

I have a favorite country that I tend to gravitate towards watching the most.

JAPAN!

Just the thought puts a smile on my face.

I'm not asian. I've never travelled there. I have no ties to that country.

Yet still I have this great attraction and interest for this country.

I love learning about both Japanese urban and rural way of life....

about all the many various interesting places and sights,

Japanese foods,

Of course, music

their different wide variety of specialized crafts

their history,

technology,

reading books that are about the diverse stories and life experiences of the people,

everything!

Not so much about politics or government-related subjects, though.

Watching Japan documentaries always leaves me with a relaxed, peaceful, and positive mindset.

Wishful thinking and dreaming about visiting Japan.

There’s something really sweet about the public education of children, how they are taught to respect the teachers & employees, so much respect for them, how they help contribute to the cleanliness of the school & the serving and clean up of the meals and how they thank the cooks for preparing the food. I think it helps to build self-confidence by teaching them to contribute and work together in doing such tasks & helps them to respect workers in service jobs.
@cherokeepatti Well, I hope they let me visit. I promise to behave.;)

@TheButterflyMind oh I’m sure they will, you know they will respect you if you are respectful to them.
@cherokeepatti
Of course.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for this beautiful country and people. I find their way of being most interesting, and something to learn from.

You should plan an extended visit one day and follow your dreams.
@sassypants Yes! You're right. I will, thanks. πŸ™‚
@sassypants When I watch documentaries on Japan I absorb information that I think I should know to well plan a possible future visit.

Me too, I can't explain it.
@KuroNeko Yeah, I don't know why. I just do.
And I've watched interesting docs about many various other countries; however, Japan draws my attention and interest the most.
