I Watch Documentaries

I like him too, and his brother Ken Burns....I really like 'The Civil War'.

I watch "The War" just about every year .. my grandfather served in the Sicily and Italy campaigns, and I was only able to talk with him briefly when I was very young.
This is a very touching documentary, told through the perspective of not the generals, but instead through the soldiers who served, and their families.
Also Burns covers how minorities were finally used at the end fo the war, black marines in the south Pacific and army airtillery units in Europe, black fighter pilots in the as bomber escorts, Japanese units in Italy, as well as American indians used as "code talkers." There were more I'm sure if you think of any .. . pleas pipe up ..

Totally agree. I prefer learning something if I sit down to watch television. Sitcoms are filled full of one-lines and canned laugh track. It may be entertaining for some people, but for me it is tiring to watch and listen too. Have a great day!

PBS just replayed the documentary on our National Parks, and how individual citizens started the movement to preserve our natural resources. I think those who fish have an appreciation of the rives and lakes and streams ....

In my opinion he is a genius, and the world is a better place because of his work.

i can't decide which was better: baseball or civil war. help me pick.
