I have no problem believing or understanding his motive; that he just wanted to walk and find some answers. I have gone on my bike for a week seeking the same thing. Pedaling over 100 miles a day on dirt trails. I always had food and water though,
In his condition I am not sure how accurate his remembrance would have been though on how long he had gone without water. Obviously he could have died very easily, or had permanently damaged vital organs during his travels.
