I Love Camping

Has anybody ever stayed at a remote cabin? I mean remote, no power, etc.

The place I told you about is remote. They have the hot springs but the cabins are rustic... no wifi, no electricity, and the shower is a rain shower outside. It does have solar heated water though. In 3 days away didn't see another person. I had my phone with me but there was no signal until we hiked out.

Yes. Loved it. Spent a week out there in the snow. It was great.

Yeah I lived off the grid last year in a cabin in the woods in the Pacific NW......we used Solar, and had a well, and did have alittle net....and used wood for heat...it was wonderful, now I'm back East in a city.....WOW....Many ELK were my neighbors! 🤩

Not a cabin but did spend 2 nights in a rickety old wooden lean-to...with little field mice scooting around my sleeping bag all night. Good company way up on a mountain

Yes....the thing I remember the most is the peacefulness and tranquility of being one with nature. I do have a cottage by the lake but it is not as quiet...lots of powerboats , generators running, tools running, all terrain vehicles ...even the squirrels are loud...lol But it sure beats living in suburbia.
