I watch the show faithfully, but for me it's like a window into what conversations at a traditional conservative family's table must be like. Mine were much like the "bleeding heart liberals" to which father Frank and son Danny occasionally refer. I like the balance shown by more moderate Erin and Jamie, the young idealistic granddaughter and the old school grandfather. It is an interesting show.

@bijouxbroussard: That is true about the content of the conversation. I think I just enjoy the family thing since it wasn't part of my childhood. Warm and loving family wanting to be with each other.
