mary richards and Mannix both died this week....

is it happening again? will 2017 be worse for celebrities than 2016?who will be next?
I'm trying to remember that passing at the ages of 80 and 91 are proof of a long life filled with amazing experiences and that their passing is just a part of living...it reminds us of the inevitability. I cannot help but celebrate them and give thanks for their sharing of their talents...thank them for coming into my home as a child and allowing me many good family memories. All of our heroes are becoming angels...it's bittersweet.
that was lovely

I remember Mannix from when I was a kid. I liked it. There was the slight suggestion that he was having a thing with his secretary. Peggy, I think.

It seemed bad in 2016 because many were quite young, these ones, though sad, were much older.
but the year just started

People are aging, and these things happen...these things being death. Some too young die, but others like Mary Tyler More are in their 80s, so we must expect that the "stars" of our youth are now older and vunerable to age related diseases and conditions.
yes, it is sad. i knew her death was soon. Dick Van Dyke said she hadn't been communicating since 2015

Multiple celebrities die every week. I don't know these two. Yes, there has to be more than 104 celebs, so at least 2 per week on average.
mary richards is Mary Tyler Moore and Mannix was played by Mike Connors...both were extremely famous in their day

@bunny61: Sorry. I'm 19
@Peekaboo: maybe your grandmother has Mary Tyler Moore show or the Dick Van Dyke show on dvd...she can pick out the best ones. i don't know if Mannix would hold up to today's audience
