Barack Obama, Kate Jackson (Charlie's Angels), Lee Corso the sportscaster and Al Michaels the sportscaster.

Obama was 2008 campaign. A quick photo with me and my son, although my son got one with just him and Obama. He was gracious, but it was very quick as there was a line. Kate Jackson was a quick hello at a bar once. Corso was a quick handshake in a hotel lobby.

Al Michaels was the longest interaction: he asked a friend and I directions to his daughter's dorm in the early 90s. He was very polite, and even shorter than you'd imagine.

[c=#7700B2]i have met a fair few famous people, don't know who to say is more famous though because to me I only go to meet celebrities I really like at fan conventions and concerts..
The celebrity I most liked in person was Eric Roberts, he was super nice and I got two big hugs from him and yeah he was super sweet.

The one I met and it didn't go well was Matt Tuck from bullet for my Valentine, he was really rude and just not a nice person [/c]

[c=#7700B2]umm he was the mob boss guy in the dark knight.he got shot by two face in the limo . That seems to be what a lot of people know him from now[/c]

@Plum Berries. Eric Roberts stopped by a place my band was playing back in the 90s. He wasn't having a good night. Ended up peeing on the fence in the parking lot. Massively underrated as an actor.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]totally agree he is massively underrated and after meeting him and knowing how kind of a person he is, I hope things pick up for him... He talked a lot about his addictions and stuff at that convention as well [/c]

Many years ago i rented a room in a house owned by a guy who did security for certain events.
Occasionally, if he was short staffed, and i was available. I'd go and make up the numbers.
Of the jobs i did, i met a few people. Roger Daltry; Eric Clapton; Mark Knopfler; The Specials; one or two others.
All the ones i mentioned came and spoke to me personally. And they were all very nice ! Friendly, chatty, genuine !
And i was just minding a fire exit or stood in a field with a flashlight directing traffic ! Hardly the 'Backstage gig' !

I don't get autographs. I don't want to bother them. The only famous person I have ever talked to was Bob Evans because he was kind of a family friend. Having common ground gave me something to talk about and not seem like just another nitwit. That's not to say that people that get autographs are that I just don't like bothering people.

Edit: oh and John Glenn but same circumstances applied.
Who's Bob Evans?
Elegy · 46-50
It is a restaurant chain.

Depends your own interpretation of famous. Probably Al Pacino, but not more than a handshake and hi. Kevin Spacey introduced us. Great guy. Met John Goodman in an elevator. He was doing some interviews for his latest project, but didn't seem to be looking forward to it. With the handful of people I have met, I have been lucky. No major celeb was a straight up dick.
They usually aren't dicks if you treat them like people...
People forget that. I used to around professional footballers and the fans could get real cringey!
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@mrblueforyou: Agreed. They really are turned off by fawning over them.
