Movie/tv pet peeve

When small children who can barely speak get cast.

This is a good series but I have to listen to a child talk with really slow speech. It doesn't sound anywhere near normal.🙄
Go to a movie today or even on TV much violence, sex, nudity and profanity. Now I think of movies with Bogart, Ward Bond, Grant, “Sam” from Casa Blanca. I think of the actresses too like Stanwyck, Kate Hepburn, Bette Davis and others who you never heard utter a profanity both male and female.
The movies were good but if you stop
and think about it...did cursing not exist along with the other above mentioned in those years? I guess the censorship board took care of that! I wonder what the general population thought.

My pet peeve in modern Westerns is cowboys with pearly white teeth...c’mon in the Westerns with some famous actors their teeth had cigarette and coffee stains.
When people have unrealistic reactions during serious situations in movies. i.e when someone breaks into the house and the kid won’t stop hysterically crying and the mom is all, “it’s gonna be okay” [pause for hug that lasts long enough for the dude to find them] vs. the mom hauling ass upstairs with her kid into a really good hiding spot and covering their mouth so that the sobs don’t give away their position.

@DecafD yess! I hate this.
Also hate when folks are being chased by bad guy, they think they get away, celebrate too soon with hugs and kisses then get stabbed in the back

the most irritating movie I have seen was that John Wayne movie “True Grit” and the way that Kim Darby spoke all through the movie. Nothing irks me with young children any worse than that movie did.

@iamnikki they take care of their own

@Thevy29 it was written in the script that way

They ignore first aid:
In a movie where the character is stabbed with something and they scream how painful it is. Then pull it out and go 'oh that's better.' When in reality the pain doesn't disappear like that and if pull out something that is that far into the body you'd bleed to death.

Sex scenes in general. But the ones that are in the film to make up for shitty dialogue.

@Thevy29 yea pretty pointless. Hinting at it works just fine. Glad I'm not an actress 🤢

When the show or movie isn't as good as the book.
