Do you think Shrek & Fiona would've still ended up together if Fiona permanently became a human instead of an ogre?

Like during the transformation in the church scene, what if she permanently became human instead of an ogre like Shrek? Would Shrek and her have still lived happily ever after?

The story is meant to show you that outward beauty or appearance isn't what's important. It's a nice idea. But as for consistency in the curse/hex, it would have made more sense if she'd turned back into being human. As either an ogre or a human, I believe Fiona would have married Shrek regardless.
