why is Asia yellow in hollywood movies?

I'm an asian and it's not yellow here.

it's cause china named one of their biggest rivers the "Yellow River"

Notice they do that when showing poor neighborhoods. It's a way to hide imperfections.

a majority of hollywood consider ASIA as Chinese,korean ,japanese ... and show yellow skin. Indians are close to equator and get dark skins,,,,

Generally Mexico is always yellow in hollywood movies :)

@danineedstopee yeah when i look at it , i am reminded of tanned skin, heat sun and i dont know - guns ..maybe because i watch too much action movies

@SW-User Oh. I know they use filters to set tone and atmosphere. But I'm not sure what yellow gives to the picture. To me giving a yellow cast makes it look aged and or dry.

Hell, I dunno. I'm half Mexican and Hollywood thinks Mexico is sepia and it's a desert with solitary cactus.
