What’s your absolute favourite film and why?

Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Just one? Why can't I have one per genre. I guess I'll go with Tombstone. It is one heck of a movie and I adore Val Kilmer.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@Kwek00 I agree.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@Fungirlmmm I’m not your huckleberry, Why Johnny Ringo it looks like someone walked on your grave”

@WanderingThrough Then my all time favorite movie for children is Charlotte's Webb. I loved the book and adore the movie. :)

The big Lebowski because the dude abides.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Casino.

It's honestly just the perfect movie. Riveting story, made during a time when movies were epic, starring some of the best actors during their prime. Great soundtrack, great one liners, great sets, great costumes, great directing.

It's just perfect.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@DearAmbellina2113 you think it's better then Goodfellas?
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Kwek00 Yes. Although I fucking love that movie too.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Yeah... when it comes to the Martin Scorsese gangster movies... that's still my first pick. But tastes and colours are purely subjective ofcourse. If you think Casino is better, then that's what it is.

Pulp Fiction!
The Lion in Winter w/ Kate Hepburn & Peter O'Toole, and a great supporting cast. It IMO is a movie of drama, comedy, love, power and family. There are quips throughout the entire movie that are either hilarious, poignant or sad, but they magically fit well into the script; but mostly I am taken with this movie because of the great performances given by Hepburn and O'Toole. Their supporting cast is amazing as well!
monte3 · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs thanks for reminding me of that one!
@monte3 There was a remake of it with Glenn Close and Patrick Stewart, and that too, well done.
Cantsayno · 56-60, M
Jaws, it was the only movie my father and I went to just him and I.
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
@Cantsayno Thats really cool! That must be an amazing memory.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Cantsayno It's a good movie too! I love the boat-cabin scene where Quin explained how he delivered the bomb... the hiroshima bomb! (like, wtf)
Cantsayno · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 @WanderingThrough I was actually lucky enough to go to Martha’s Vineyard last summer where it was filmed. Such a nice island.

Blade Runner (the Director’s Cut).
It’s exciting, well acted, beautifully shot, and has an incredible score. The Director’s Cut eliminates the narration which is not needed anyway.
daydeeo · 61-69, M
@HypnoChode ...and Rutger Hauer's soliloquy.
HypnoChode · 46-50, M
