What grade would you give the movie version of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty?"

I am thirty minutes into it. So far, it is real good.
This is one of my favorite movies.

It's differnt, odd, about very very mundane people, but a little abstract, funny and thougbt provoking.

I'd nearly give it a nine.

It doesn't rely on action, explosions, nudity or special affects - it's just a REAL GOOD STORY 🤗

@BoobooSnafu BooBoo I am most apologetic for my meaning to be misconstrued.... I was not intending to fix your grammar or syntax, rather i was trying to further Educate the Plebeian Masses on the intricacies of this dynamic and rich liquafranca that we call English, as you are correct I too was brought up to learn the meaning and histories of words and turns of phrase, and so many of todays Vulgus Mobulae seem perfectly acquiesced to let the vernacular of a bygone era stay bygone. I strive instead to drag us kicking and screaming back to an age of culture and reasoning, by any means necessary.... Again i beg your pardon as i mean not to offend you.
@DiegoWolfe HAHAHAHA.....vulgus mobulae 😁... Ooh - haven't heard that term in decades!!!

Hahahaha - and is SO PERFECT!!! 🤣..

Geez!... Actually - that's one I can see keeping the same meaning, but Coming gens. will think it has to do with mobile phones and trends. 😁

And LAWD YES!!!. I know om lazy,( 👈see, there's one I do often 😅), but really... "I art?"... This thing about leaving out basic verbs is a tad bizarre.. I mean anything could go in there.
But, as you said, they are losing the art of descriptive writing. It's almost as if language is being reduced to basic options.

You like or don't like.
Heart something or not.
People often state what they hate and what they love, but seldom what they adore, or loath or detest.
And with lazy language comes lazy thinking.
They are a particualr 'breed' that will tell ypu what they had for breakfast, thr colour of their underpants and that life sux because they're bored - but they don't care about opinions that vary from their own, let alone perceptions on life, or ways to alleviate or fix thr complaint they claim is destroying their life.
I know every generation says this about the ones that follow...but when I read some of the newer statements and perceptions people have on life - views that are so adamantly black or white - I wonder about how the world will look in 50 years!
I admire your resolve to expose them to the possibilities of expression, and show them that Language can be adeep, rich, soulful thing, but wjen it seems they care not for the past, nor the future - only thr now and how it pertains to them.

Which is so odd!
I'm here to share, learn and expand my understanding and tolerance for my fellow man. With communication faster, further and and now multi media - you'd think mankind would be knowing and caring about others on a grander scale - yet it's swung inward not outward, and focuses upon the trivial and mundane, as opposed to the crucial and intriguing.

So... Scary, that with the worlds knowledge at our fingertips, we favour looking up funny cat videos! 🤷‍♀️

compared to the original its a ton more story driven, and i like the idea of a person breaking out of their shell like that....
