What is the first rated R movie you remember watching?

@eli1601 1968 was the first year they started using those ratings, but I’m not sure if they were rating every movie like they do now.

@SW-User Explains a lot though :P There were plenty parts that were scary to others that just didn't effect me at all, simply because I didn't understand what was scary about it. Like the head spinning scene. I thought it was funny in a Looney Toons kind of way.
